That's a valid point. The planning would have been on Optus/govt approval side of things. Given this announcement is for "at least 56 black spot sites", Optus may still be considering further deployments, but at this point have nominated these black spot sites for federal funding which is now approved. Supply and installation of batteries for that many sites will take time, so the planning and detail is obviously to be confirmed later, but not something that had to be a specific signed supply contract from Redflow immediately.
Still awesome news that an Australian Telco has assessed our product as viable, plus the federal govt news, this is excellent publicity.
I'm guessing ASX didn't mark this as price sensitive because it does not contain the quantity of batteries to supply, or any dollar values. We're still in speculation territory for what it means financially.
