We are heading for 100% renewable, but RFX won’t be a part of it because no matter how big the market, you’ve got to have a reliable product that is competitive with the other products available - and even then, you’re only at the starting blocks. Plenty of companies are making plenty of money selling batteries, but there’s no market for a heavy, expensive, inefficient battery that breaks down all the time, no matter how safe it is. Honestly, if it had met just one of those criteria, RFX may have been viable. It’s a testament to the deep desire for renewables that the company lasted as long as it did.
