    Yup. I had a lot of fun trying to get them to pull the dead battery out of my place. I was chasing them; they’d promise to get it done; radio silence; repeat.

    I eventually ended up sending a letter, registered post, asking them to get the job done or I’d do it for them, and bill them for the cost.

    I’m now very relieved that they took action after that letter, because it was only a month later that this happened. If the battery were still in my garage, I’d have to bite the bullet and pay the thousand dollars or so to have it collected.

    It’s a small thing compared with everything else, but it just served to prove to me that I was right to take the buyback, get the battery out, and ditch the investment. It is somewhat representative of the company’s attitude towards investors, in some ways, and it helps illustrate why they couldn’t find backers, right when they needed them.

    Once you burn credibility, it’s very hard to get it back.
