My assumption would be that having a single model of fixed capacity, is simply simpler on the management and cost side.
As soon as you have 2+ models, then for each model you have additional marketing, addition R&D into parts for different models, additional supply chain of parts for different models, etc etc etc.
Sure the IP in the technology can scale higher, but implementing that across a product range adds additional costs.
