In the announcement of the Placement there's the comment: 'allowing Redflow and Scale Faciliation® to explore strategic partnership opportunities to create value for both companies'.
Maybe Scale would get front running to be a partner in any new Redflow plant in the US? Scale is supposedly building a lithium battery facility in Geelong, Australia and may want to diversify its involvement in battery manufacturing to include flow batteries.
UL Certification of the batteries is not expected in US until at least Q3 2023, so hopefully some meaningful US orders after that and the need for another plant? Pure speculation.
