No software license, but there is a Battery Management System (BMS) which provides for remote monitoring and management.
A stolen battery would also need the BMS to configured it whatever environment it is in. This would not be possible since the thieves would not have access to the Redflow internet portal to configure the BMS (even if they could manage to get the BMS online).
