We used to do that sort of thing back in 2000 for PDAs I think they were. They had enough intelligence, and lot of corporate info on them, if they connected to the internet and we knew they were stolen, off to PDA oblivion it was for them. Quite automated, the first (and quite close to the last) thing they would do when turned on was call home if they could, they downloaded a short command to wipe everything.

Good for a paper weight.
