So many things about this company smack of inexperience (at best, incompetence at worst). There are the issues with manufacturing as you say, the lack of real information about what is going on, and the dreadful way they try to raise capital which invariably fails. You do not pay megabucks to people who repeatedly make these sorts of errors.
