Personally I think that instead of stating the obvious.* I think Rowena and ASM should get off their ample arse and do some of the things they have promised instead of trying to jawbone the market. It's not like we haven't supported them for years on the basis of what they are proposing and now stating. Maybe it's because they want funding or negotiating support but stating the obvious in their situation doesn't make them look particularly intelligent.
To be fair a number of struggling companies do this. It's an indicator of helplessness or a cry for help in my experience.
