That's interesting, WKT has released an announcement of a JORC Exploration Target.
What strikes me is that WKT has previously stated that its primary focus is getting a small mine up and running. There hasn't been too much talk of needing to prove up a larger resource.
Anyway, here's part of the definition of Exploration Target on page 9 of the JORC Code 2012 (http://www.jorc.org/docs/jorc_code2012.pdf):
I note that WKT hasn't mentioned the specific, conceptual grades in their headline statement but their bullet points on page 1 certainly don't mess around.
I couldn't actually find the word "exploration target" until pages 4 and 5 of the announcement but when I found them I understood that they hadn't actually proven a new mineral resource.
Seems like a lot of excitement in an announcement when WKT hasn't outlaid plans to create a superpit graphite mine and hasn't proven a new resource. Interesting, will watch on with interest.
