I really think there should be a limit on the percentage that a major shareholder can take in a publically listed company. Seems as though once they acquire 20% or more they take control and treat it as their own private company. Other shareholder's interests get ignored and we just become a source of raising funds for their own interests. And as we are seeing here they then take the company private after shareholders have funded their exploration costs. This happens time and time again and ASIC does nothing!
