You may well (no pun intended) be correct about ongoing management faffing around, but your speculation about the equipment leases seems off.
What's that based on?
As far as i know, the people leasing the gear have no say and are not interested in the prospects - they usually make their money purely from the rent.
Happy to be corrected if i missed something and the lessor has some equity share or is and/or has control over the removal of leased gear.
