Peak wholesale prices cap out at $1,000/MWH
The January average price for the last three years are:
2022: $126.54
2023: $210.91
2024: $109.96
I haven't kept as close an eye on pricing in recent months although there does appear to be quite a few less instances of power pricing hitting the cap in 2024 compared to last year, hence the much lower average price.
