Has been all too easy in the last 9 months, and I would be sensible to lower my expectations for the next year (although I still think there are better opportunities elsewhere).
And what you say about historical price behaviour after t/o announcements is probably correct - I haven't looked into that much, and despite my age don't have the experience to know the truth (or probability).
In my naivety I assumed that because the offer is so low they could not have put it forward with any seriousness unless it had already had the approval from the major shareholders.
Too late for me, but I agree everyone should say no.
