As a "smart cities" product, Buddy Ohm has virtually unlimited roll-out potential, so it's all about cost/benefit and competition. The company has taken what looks to me like a textbook channel marketing approach to distribution, which is very hard to fault for a product like this. An important measure for this product is the financial pay-back period for end-users, which will of course vary from user to user and explains why the initial roll-out was in the Caribbean, a region where it is likely to have a relatively short pay-back period.

Does anyone recall seeing any references to client pay-back periods in the company's announcements or conference material or marketing documentation?
