The answers to those questions are in the announcements. Pretty clear cut imo.
They wanted to change to a Vanadium company but that would mean far more than just a name change to satisfy the ASX. The cost associated with restructuring the company at the present time with Vanadium prices rock bottom would have been difficult to raise the required cash. Ergo they are now back in the O&G business. If Vanadium prices were at their highs then maybe a different outcome. That's my take on it anyway.
