I would say that it is almost 100% likely you will see the tailings reprocess through simple floatation to gain copper and cobalt (depending on grades). Depending on overall grades will be the deciding factor. I’m putting my money on it.
I think a lot of people miss seeing value in waste piles and tailings.

Copper Waste tailings are being looked at by major players currently you will see plenty of companies reprocessing tailings in the future in Aust. Metso have a large team helping mining companies see value in reprocessing tailings.
