I continue to maintain there are a number of advantages of Justice Davies' recent ruling for ISX supporters, and this ASX announcement demonstrates one of them.
This ASX announcement is really quite amazing. It appears ASX feels emboldened, and just can't help themselves.
Remember the saying that begins "If you give a man enough rope...". That is, if you give someone that you suspect of bad behaviour the freedom to behave badly, eventually they will.
Justice Davies' recent ruling has given ASX the freedom to publish their side of the story. It appears ASX will do everything within their power to prevent ISX management from communicating with the market. Remember, there was discussion, lead by Justice Davies about ISX being able to keep the market "informed" of their side of the story.
To me, ASX seem desperate to control the narrative. Now, why would that be?
I wonder if the ASX are focusing on battles, and losing sight of the war?
Also, it seems ASX are now more or less challenging ISX, that even if ISX do agree to the ASX directions, ASX may not lift the suspension. I wonder if the ASX are trying to bait ISX into not following the directions, so the ASX are off the hook?
I hope ISX stay the course...
- continue on their path to meet the ASX directions... and allow ASX the freedom / accountability to lift the suspension, and
- continue on their march to trial, and along the way, just quietly and calmly collect more ammunition of ASX overreach.
