For me, the restructure enabling a redemption at near NAV was a key part of my investment into EGI late last year as I seek to attempt a bit of discount capture. Assuming markets are flat-ish between now and redemption (fingers crossed) that's a ~8% gain at current prices off the top of my head - or about 1 stock market year 'average' in a few months. If their NTA/NAV falls by ~8% you still come out breakeven. Maybe not that exciting for your tastes, but nothing to be sneezed at. I haven't done a KYC before, but read through it last night and it's just a bit of paperwork for that ~8% return. Surely it'll be less than 1 night's work? After all you did take your time to read and summarise a long-winded 408pg Explanatory Booklet heavy on legalese for an online forum. I'm also a small holder (<6000 units) and if you ask nicely, the RE might allow sub-$5000 redemptions. FWIW I intend to hold a small position post-restructure as part of my global mids & smalls.
