Yes but there are ways around it..
Like i mentioned before, you short sell the same amount of shares through an institution..
Then you close both positions when the shares come out of Escrow.
End effect is that you sold the shares at todays price (less any fees and transaction costs) rather than the price when they are realeased frowm escrow.
Unless of course there is a contract you signed with SGH which prevents you from taking out short positions.
