I've never made a loss out of AEB though. Never held. Was tempted a couple of times when the technicals made it obvious you could make a quick profit (watch any stock this closely for this many years, even a complete dog like this and you'll see an opportunity or two) but I just didn't feel comfortable even briefly holding something like this.

It has been a very interesting case study though and I learned a lot. Interesting how far a company can go without the regulators doing anything, interesting to see the strategies used in various aspects from raising capital to business structure to the style of announcements, rtc etc, and very interesting to watch the psychology of the holders posting here. In an extreme example like AEB a lot of concepts become very clear, which helps to recognise them in their more subtle versions on more typical companies, where they are also common but less easily noticeable.
