For the sake of clarity: I have nothing against shorters per se; in many cases, a high short interest is actually what allows value investors to buy in at a discounted price.
What does concern me is the dissemination of facts that just aren’t true or accurate (whether it is intentional or not), as it could induce some holders to sell simply out of unjustified fear.
