I remember when businesses first implemented this sort of lip service for WHS. It eventually added more costs, time and employees to manage it all. As we all know, corporate governance became the task and the revenue stream was a second effort.

I hope they don't go too far with this stuff. Being involved with how your company affects the surrounding environment is important but the company itself won't "save the world".... and nor should it try to.

Just implement smart business practices that are as green as financially viable and move on. Don't try to pander to a malicious and ever unsatisfied base.
