They have disclosed to shareholders the facts - the only thing I would consider would be a concern would be if they had sat on the information. There is nothing which indicates this is the case. The board have been open and transparent. I only feel for the staff which have been out of pocket over the discrepancy - we have had a similar thing here in NZ for every single employer in the country for over 10 years.
These things happen - best to be honest, pay up, and move on with the trust of your staff.
