Look that's fair.

I did a bit of digging on usual cases as they didn't mention in the study what median hospital stays were and how rapidly the children's heart function usually takes to recover.

It's still a very rare and new condition but there's some good systematic reviews out there already.

Looks like mean hospital stay was 7.8 +/- 0.6 days for children and most were admitted to ICU.

Our two kids were 9 days and 10 days in hospital. Could very well have been on sicker end of spectrum and may have required more days of monitoring after due to treatment.

LV function, on average, was seen to normalise in 1-2 weeks post admission. Our kids' normalised on day 6 admission (day 11 symptoms) and day 8 admission (day 10 symptoms).

Seems like more towards the lower end of the spectrum. That could be something.

The graphs of inflammatory markers and the treatments, they aren't really conclusive. They simply follow a trend of an improving child, and don't seem to be temporally related, but that's purely my interpretation. Maybe the BNP, but again it's not something I see routinely monitored so I'm not 100% familiar with how it behaves. Or the temporality between the therapy and the test.
