Yes. I would think it is possible to transfer ownership but maybe not via a traditional broker.
Even bad debts get on-sold and this is not much different.

If not an actual registration of the shares (The PEZ share registry should be able to answer that) then a basic witnessed agreement to sell x PEZ shares for x dollars could be signed stating payment to be made by each party on final liquidator payout date regardless of shares being worthless or 10c ea. Maybe put a sunset clause in of there is still no decision in two years time. Of course in this scenario either one party or the other would want to reneg at the last minute...
