    You can hold onto them in hopes that something happens and you magically get your money back.

    ...or you go through "https://www.delisted.com.au", pay the admin fee and they will purchase all your shares from you for $1. Meaning you've essentially sold all your shares for $1, and it can be written off as a capital loss.
