Native copper is virtually worthless, unlike oxide copper it cannot be purified by acid leaching / SXEW. Unlike sulphide copper it cannot be turned into a concentrate that contains it's its own fuel for smelting. It requires lots of energy in the form of electricity to smelt in an arc furnace. This fact has the net effect of negating any value of the contained copper. I carries the same value as copper scrap.
