    You actually cannot claim a tax loss until the company is actually declared bankrupt.

    I was caught in CBD energy that moved to US and kept consolidating into new entities where I finally owned around US$10 from a $20k investment
    I applied for a private tax ruling to claim my tax loss.

    No respect for shareholders from AOW management.

    Talk to an accountant.
