I'll preface this by saying you should obtain advice from an accountant that understands your personal situation etc.

See below for the type of service available to sell unlisted shares;

SDL is on their list of eligible shares to sell using this facility.

You may want to consider the possible legal action etc underway though. However remote, there may be a chance SDL receives compensation.

If you continue to hold the unlisted shares and SDL is wound up, a Loss Declaration letter will be issued at a point in the future by the administrator that states the capital loss can be claimed. See below for an example;

Such a letter may be years into the future depending on legal action etc.
