Section 247A of the Corporations Act may be useful in providing relief to a shareholder of any company who is acting in good faith with a proper purpose.
This section of the Act gives a shareholder a right to apply to the court for an order authorising them (or another person on their behalf) to inspect a company’s books. For example, "another person" might mean a forensic accountant
