Has anyone been successful in transferring GPL shares back to an Australian broker?

There seems to be two ways to access our GPL shares: 1) setup an international broker account to buy/sell GPL using a foreign currency (Canadian or US dollar), or 2) transfer GPL shares to an Australian broker.

Speaking with two Australian brokers, I've had slightly different answers. CommSec suggest that the GPL shares need be converted to CHESS sponsored to be transferred to them. ANZ indicate that all that needs to be done is complete their international share transfer form and they will do the rest.
