It is nowhere near profitable enough to be classed as a lifestyle company. If you want a more accurate description, it is a family. I have met some of the village chiefs working with Calmer Co and looked them in the eyes when I shook their hands and what I saw was that kava is their bloodline. They are grateful to be in a business relationship with Calmer Co. Zane is a community leader, who has a passion to bring Kava to the world. To say that the board live a life of luxury from modest raisings and modest salaries, doing all that they do along the supply chain is a naivety.

There are multimillionaires who are investing their time for free on this so-called lifestyle company. There is no company on the ASX with greater morals and ethics than Calmer Co. These people want to see this business a success because ethically it is untouchable.

The simple fact is that getting a startup like Fiji Kava up and running across the globe is a big deal. The farmers, the processing, the shipping, the regulatory controls, the partnerships, e-commerce, it is all cutthroat. Now we have a new hurdle with tariffs. My bet is that Zane and the team will be successful, because they are the complete opposite to what you are implying.
