Just using the broker function of my bank and with that I can trade basically anywhere in the world (except China). Think this is pretty normal in Europe (or at least in Germany all banks offer a basic "broker" service).

And even the cheap broker "giro.de" (actually from the Netherlands where it is "giro.nl") allows me to trade on the ASX (and TSX and NASDAQ, etc. etc.). With the "giro" I pay around 15$ per trade (through my bank it is much more expensive with about $100 per trade, so only worthwile for larger trades).

ps. Bounce back seems to have started. Damn should have bought some at the 5's
