Ex date is specifically defined in the offer document and is "the Ex Date for the Offer to be two Business Days following the announcement of the Offer."
But this is different from the Record Date.
And this is different from the date rights can be traded. Eligible shareholders can start trading rights today. I presume this is people who are "is any other person to whom Air New Zealandand the Joint Lead Managers consider an offerof Rights or New Shares may be made withoutthe need for a lodged prospectus or otherformality (other than a formality with which AirNew Zealand is willing to comply),"
