Actually, upon reading the documentation, perhaps it isn't all as doom and gloom as I first thought..
1) The raising is primarily for finishing and lodging of the mining lease application - something which upon approval is likely to cause some level of SP re-rate, I'd assume.
2) All directors will be participating/putting their money where their mouth is. You'd have to assume this means they believe they'll get a return on their investment.
3) Dobson sounds extremely confident in gaining a strategic partner in the near future. This of course could just be lies, but it does make you wonder...

All in all, I'm still not sure I'll end up participating, but moreso due to personal reasons. It is however reassuring to know that this CR isn't the death-blow I first thought it was upon waking up and reading this announcement this morning.
