Arsenic, yes lithium is abundant, so much so that many companies are focused on extracting it from seawater. But as far as I can understand, hard rock lithium minerals are better for extracting lithium. So it is a pity that MLX doesn't have its lithium.

WA has some of the best pegmatite lithium minerals in the world. The share price of companies working on the lithium depostis are on the up-going escalator. If you cast your eyes to the left of the Hot Copper site and look at "Most Discussed", you'll see that about half of the 12 stocks listed today are lithium explorers. A couple of these minig companies will be producing lithium in 2018 from factories they have built in the Pilbarra - and many have offtake agreements in place with big Chinese battery companies. My belief is that we could be looking at a once in a lifetime opportunity, much like the revolution about 100 years ago when oil companies were just getting started (to supply the auotmobile industry).

The question is, as investors what do we do about it? Its time to do some research because the renewables are coming and the info is out there. For example, within the last day or two, the Chinese have mandated that from 2019, their auto companies must produce 8% (or 12%, can't remember exactly) of cars which are hybrid or electric. That comes soon after they announced that they plan to phase out the combustion engine completely. Other countires and auto companies have also announced similar things. SA is building the largest lithium battery in the world to store electric energy. Which brings me to MLX.

OK MLX has let its lithum deposit go, but it has a major resource of cobalt in its tenaments. Cobalt is much rarer than lithium and, in the new lithium battteries, the weight of cobalt is often more than that of lithium. Recently, a cobalt company in NSW (CLQ) announced it is looking at making renewable batteries from the cobalt that it is soon to start producing from its mine. So what is MLX doing? Cobalt is on the back burner, but they are drilling to see if there are parts of their deposits with high levels of cobalt. I'll be very interested in the cobalt info when the next set of drilling results come out. Good luck to all.
