If it weren't dodgy in one respect or the other she would not need to change it, specially RIGHT AFTER (and not before) Twiggy called her out for the statement to be "misleading" and "coercive". If she believed it was all ligid, she would have stuck by it.
Gina's bid being "bettER than Ellison's" does not automatically mean her offer is good for us. Ellison is/was by no standard a benchmark, if anything a cautionary reminder for us to be stronger against future bidders.
As an analogy, if someone robbs my house it does not mean they are kind to me just because unlike another they did not bash me up as well! Simple hey?!
