It's been a while since anyone posted on VRS. I hope shareholders haven't died of malnutrition. Actually shareholder and shareholders are foreign words within the company, I just re-read the Annual report 'Values' section and the words do not appear. Then I read the Chairman's report and in an ending paragraph he thanks shareholders for their continued support. So we got mentioned once, and only as supporters but with nothing to gain, nor being acknowledged as owners of the company who have been left out in the cold. Then the CEO's report. Yep you guessed it, not a mention. I read the dividend statement which focused on last year's dividend - something shareholders received. It doesn't mention this years dividend or lack thereof, and doesn't explain why last year's stated intention to maintain the dividend has been dispense with. It's a disgrace. It's like your mother calling you for a promised dinner, only to serve up an empty plate. The remuneration report is pretty expansive and gives more to our leaders. It is pretty clear from the disdain with which shareholders of this company are treated that a totally different mindset is needed. Perhaps the person in charge of the remuneration report should be put in charge of 'care of shareholders' and the Board left out in the cold for a year or two to wake them up to their shortcomings.
And anyone who buys the idea we acted quickly to market changes is a sucker. We've had years to fix margins and we'd already done $50 million of revenue in the first half for a meagre return. If we'd acted quickly we would have fixed this years ago.
