Because there's a high possibility that the android version won't work as well (actually it almost certain due to the high degree of fragmentation in terms of the android versions and the large variety of hardware out there).
If they make any improvements they will want to showcase them and the best way to do that will Ge through the iOS platform as it's more likely it will work better.
