The fundamentals haven't changed is the most poorly used line on HC. They may not have changed, but the market needs to know what the fundamentals actually are, and the query is thus. Investors can't make informed decisions without all the info.
Anyone spinning this as business as usual or a positive thing is delusional. The governance question is far from answered.
