"why bring in those massive management changes with some apparently good names if this wasnt going to continue"... nobody knows if Coburn will continue or under what ownership structure until whatever steadystate production is achieved, which everyone understands by now. With some $140M STA shareholder MC value and $250M debt at risk, it would be surprising if they didn;t throw everything and everyone with experience at this before turning out the lights...
Another million or so on the very best advice hardly matters when facing potentially $400M of losses if the mine simply cannot wipe it's own face because of too many furphies and f-ups! Right now everyone is pulling in the same direction to buy time, rectify production issues to try to avoid a KLL like disaster. Everyone except new investors, who would be very nervous to tip without a line of sight to safety I imagine...
