- How is the app going to work for the very many (in some age brackets, the majority) who are asymptomatic and have no cough? It won't, thus people will still need RATs and PCRs.
- How can an 80% clinical specificity (ie: 1/5 who are true 'positive' get a false-negative and re-enter the community) be reliable at all? I would be surprised if this underwhelming result even passes the TGA standard when it comes to it.
- How does RAP substantiate its claim of "92% sensitivity for detecting COVID-19 with a new cough audio-based algorithm –exceeding the real-world measured sensitivity of rapid antigen testing" when the majority of new RATs being approved by the TGA have > 95% clinical sensitivity and > 98% clinical specificity?
