This is where Pfizer may have committed a tactical error by pitching their bid on the very bottom edge of the fair value range. If the BDO revise their fair value upward by even 1c per share it gives the directors the opportunity to withdraw their support for the scheme without triggering the break penalties. I devoutly hope they would do that this time around. I don't think there's any upside to balance against the harm being done to the company by being locked up by the scheme.
