Not entirely fair to compare an average wage in this sector to the national average. There are a lot of employees with PhDs and/or are otherwise highly skilled.
Wayne has got himself on a low risk wicket in a high risk company, which is not great. I would prefer he took a generous equity package. Either way, he is high calibre and should be highly paid - just think he should share the risk/incentives as shareholders.
