The referencing here of the fabled Nova Bollinger discovery is always a crowd pleaser, guaranteed to quicken investors pulses. It also invites further investigation in relation to SIR's subsequent use of the deep search Samson technique to reveal a large conductor a further 300 metres below the Nova deposit.

In April 2014 SIR announced:

A deep penetration EM survey, using a high power system known as Samson, has been planned to cover the entire MLA. A trial of this system has confirmed that it can detect the Bollinger deposit (which was invisible to conventional EM) at a depth of 450 metres.

The follow-up Ann of July 2014 reported:

The "Samson" deep-penetration electromagnetic survey being undertaken on the Nova tenement has identified a distinct deep EM conductor located...beneath the Nova deposit.

It's important to note that this discovery 3 months later was supported by additional DHEM data confirming the new conductor.

In relation to SGQ's deep-search Samson survey :

Results and actions –following a preliminary review of data from the SAMSON EM survey:
- a number of new anomalies have been detected over the western part of the Cathedrals belt. The data is currently being modelled by SGQ’s consultants Newexco; and
- the SAMSON EM survey is to be extended to cover the new eastern extension of the Cathedrals belt.

Thus my (uneducated) conclusion is that given there is no mention of follow-up DHEM data gathering, our initial Samson survey failed to locate any conductor/s at depth. The anomalies that were located IMO were a continuation of the shallow, narrow-width veins previously located. Just not the source body/s.

Otherwise I acknowledge this is only the first section of a very prospective belt planned for further Samson surveys. In the interim I'm fully expecting to see the SP smacked down, just like last Xmas/New Year when I entered at 6.6c .
