I think that overall the announcement is positive and will further raise the profile of Imugene and further legitimise us as a serious player in this space.

What I was concerned about after the presentation this morning was the lack of detail in the "partnership". Something that I thought Paul Hopper would have made sure of before making any agreement.

In the Q&A at the end, I asked the question about the ownership of the resulting data points / products and the commercialisation of those.

The answer I thought was underwhelming and indicated to me that there had been very little discussion of the commercials both now and in the future. i.e what are we hoping to achieve with this, and if we are successful, then what???

There was mention that BP would come running once the successful results of the research were published but the obvious follow-up question to that would be, who gets the money? Imugene or Celularity , and what is the split?

I would have thought both companies would have hammered out some of the fine print before announcing anything to the market, or simply made an announcement saying that they had entered in a MOU to further investigate a possible research partnership. I got the impression of a young couple with rose tinted glasses laughing at the suggestion a pre-nup agreement might be a good idea.

All in all , i think this is positive, just wish there was a bit more meat around the bones of the announcement.
