It seems that other than a few instances, Elk has always been short of cash.
That limits the type of offers that they can take on any property and that is IMO why DNR was able to secure such a good, one-sided deal with no cash up front from Elk.
I'd guess that it was the only offer on the table and a take it or leave it one as well.
The miniscule royalty ELk got was a joke as well.
Right now ANY offer that Elk would get on that land would be welcome and given the circumstances no doubt that is is going to be a low ball one at that.
And PS: I wonder how long till that 240,000 share buy order at 21 cents gets filled by those two sell orders in at 23 and 24.5 cents dropping their price??????
