Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) is a particularly nasty malignant brain tumour, with a very poor survival rate (rarely more than 12 months after diagnosis). The mainstream treatment options of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy have all proved ineffective in treating this malignancy. I believe that there have been limited in vitro and in vivo trials in Canada by Cardiol Therapeutics with both THC and CBD, with promising results.

The work being undertaken by MXC could lead to a treatment regime which might at least slow the growth and spread of GBM cells, thus prolonging life, and possibly even lead to a cure. This would be a boon for sufferers world-wide, and at the same time provide a very welcome income stream for MXC.
