When you read about bowel cancer and the aftermath of surgery you suddenly become aware of the danger of sepsis and how prevalent it is. It is much more prevalent than most people realise. Following surgery last year for bowel cancer I succumbed to sepsis and stayed in hospital for 17 days. God knows what it cost my health insurance fund.
I was unaware of the Histone Project but if it can be proved that SIRT can reduce the likelihood of sepsis then the dose sales will increase markedly and patient outcomes will be far better. I have my fingers crossed for this one.
